Dear River Club Family,
I am excited to share with you information regarding The One Campaign, a special Offering, that begins now and continues through January 31, 2010.
Over the past 18 months since our launch in May, 2008, we have seen Fairview at River Club grow from a core group of 150 people to almost 500 people in attendance each Sunday morning. We have celebrated with 59 people as they were baptized, and we have received 119 new members. In our Growth Groups this past fall we had about 180 people involved. We are reaching a large number of young families with children, teen-agers, and twenty-somethings. The Lord has certainly blessed us! Remember, our primary mission is to impact the Fredericksburg area with the love of Jesus, ONE person at a time.
The One Campaign is a Offering which will be used 100% in providing us with the opportunity to bring on board two new part-time staff persons: a Children’s Minister and a Discipleship and Connections Minister. Also, these funds will allow us to add additional hours to several current staff members, specifically our Worship Leader and our Communications and Publications Specialist. These additions to our staff are critical if we expect to continue reaching new people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And we need your help.
An Overview Letter is provided (at right) that details this special offering. A commitment card is also available to print. Our goal is $70,000, and we would love to exceed that goal so that we will have the full ministry team that God wants us to have at this critical time for River Club.
Will you begin praying now about what God would have you give, over and above your regular giving, to this Special Offering? Allow God to stretch your faith! You can be the One that God uses to provide the resources needed to carry out His mission through River Club. |
